Each year we lose more direct witnesses to the Holocaust, which makes preserving their stories of vital importance. Our goal is for the documentary Sweet Lorraine in Auschwitz: The Life of Frank Grunwald to serve as an eyewitness testimonial and educational tool for years to come.
Sweet Lorraine in Auschwitz: The Life of Frank Grunwald will weave in 1930s American jazz to help depict Holocaust Survivor Frank Grunwald’s journey through concentration camps and death marches. Frank credits his survival to this music. Interviews with archivists, historians, and concentration camp curators will add the necessary historical context to frame Frank’s story. Follow in Frank’s footsteps as we journey from Fishers, Indiana, to the historic streets of Prague, the ash-covered grounds of Auschwitz, the daunting stone steps of Mauthausen, and the Austrian forest where his nightmare finally ended. Frank’s gripping testimony and call to action reveal why hate must never be allowed to thrive in our world.
Your donation will go towards covering on-site filming, post-production editing, travel costs, dedicated staff, music and image licensing, marketing and distribution, and necessary insurance.
Without your support, Sweet Lorraine in Auschwitz: The Life of Frank Grunwald will not be possible. Help us preserve Frank's memories and ensure the Holocaust is not forgotten.
